New Year, New..... Nothing.

It's been a while since I've updated, so I figured since it's a new year, and the holiday hustle is over, I should get on with it.

There's really not much to update, really. We had a nice Christmas, and a lazy new year. Emma had no idea what was going on at all, of course. She does enjoy her new toys though.

Over the last couple of months Emma has learned so much. She is crawling, pulling up to stand, cruising furniture. She gives sloppy open-mouth kisses, waves, shakes her head no. She can do "so big", understands "come here" (and does it!), and her pincer grip game is strong (gotta love those puffs!). She "dances", loves to jump, and we're pretty sure she means it when she says mama.

She still only has 2 teeth. She still is a terrible sleeper. We are still breastfeeding, but only partially. Like 2-3 times a day, and most of the night still. I'd fully quit, but she won't let me.

I still need a nap.

Our last visit with the dermatologist was in November. At which point we were told both her birthmarks look great. She said her arm actually looks amazing. We don't really notice, as we're with her every day, but I guess it's gotten a lot lighter.

We never did schedule a consult with plastic surgery. After a lot of research, we are now leaning heavily towards not removing her nevus. I just don't see the point of putting her through so much for the end result to be a potentially droopy eye, scars, and even the skin not matching properly. She's perfect as she is, and if she decides when she's older that she wants to go through removal, we will explore it then. For now, we will just raise her with confidence in the beautiful, smart girl she is.
